Experience
I recently completed my undergrad program in Computer Science, earning my bachelor's degree from the New York Institute of Technology, with a concentration in Information Management and a secondary in Mathematics. I've had three years of experience working as a tutor in math fields on varying levels, including elementary math, algebra, geometry, and calculus, in addition to others. I am also available to tutor students in a variety of specific coding languages, general computer science, and I've had success helping students as they prepare for the ACCUPLACER exam, specifically in the math subjects. I gain satisfaction from sharing what I know with others, and seeing them accomplish their academic goals as a result. I've tutored in both group and one-on-one settings, and been successful with both. I've honed my skills in tutoring, and have learned to first listen to each student's individual needs, and helping them brainstorm solutions to problems using multiple approaches. I believe students benefit from being able to express their creativity and curiosity as they learn, and that is one of my core values in tutoring. I also help students with study skills, such as organization and time management. In my spare time, I also enjoy photography and reading.
