I attended Claflin University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree for biotechnology. I then studied microbiology at MIT so that I could obtain my Master of Science degree. The work that I have done to earn both of my degrees has given me a lot of strength in my problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. I hope to pass these skills on to the students that I tutor.While attending Claflin University, I taught in many one-on-one sessions with the undergrad students that were studying biology and calculus 1. Before I started my academic career at MIT, I took time to travel to Bueno Aires, Argentina. While there, I focused on teaching math and Spanish to pre-elementary and elementary students.I have learned how to develop various lesson plans that will be effective in helping to cater to the needs of each individual student.I am well versed in many subjects, such as various math courses ranging from elementary math and pre-algebra to SAT mathematics. I also enjoy the sciences such as general science and biology. I can also provide assistance with test prep and preparing for the SAT.Some of my personal interests include going to the gym, baking, reading, and taking part in different outdoor activities.
