College of William and Mary - BS, Biology , University of North Carolina - PhD, Genetics and Molecular Biology

I recently received my PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology. I want to help other students learn how to do well in school, especially those who will soon be entering graduate school. I have worked as a tutor for three years and have worked with students of different background and abilities. Much of what I focused on with these students related to GRE and SAT prop. I have also worked with high school students to help them better learn and understand math and science courses. When I work with students, I like to build upon the strengths that they have so they can feel more confident when approaching the subject matter. I work with each student to understand his strengths and weaknesses and I use different strategies to share the information in a way that will stick. I find it rewarding to help students improve their scores and to help them get into their dream schools. When I'm not working or tutoring, I like to spend my time cooking, traveling, reading, and listening to music. I can help you with various subject content or we can focus on study skills and test preparation. I'm ready to help you reach your goals!
