I graduated from Calvin College, where I received my bachelor's in English with a concentration in British and American literature and a minor in Psychology. I earned a certificate in pre-medical studies from Columbia University with an emphasis in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. At present, I am preparing to enter a nursing program. I have experience in tutoring students ranging from middle schoolers to high schoolers in subjects like biology, chemistry, writing, editing, literature, grammar, and other science and English concepts. I am passionate about education, and I always try to convey that through my teaching. I like to spend time getting to know my students' strengths, goals, and academic roadblocks in order to formulate a customized learning plan for each student. I also enjoy fine-tuning my teaching style to meet each individual student's needs and learning style. I encourage my students to ask questions and become active participants in their learning. This helps them engage with and better retain the information. I am a truly enthusiastic teacher, and I love helping my students achieve their academic goals. In my free time, I enjoy reading, art & architecture appreciation, playing and watching a good game of soccer, cycling, and hiking.
