Experience
I have offered private tutoring in New York and London for seven years. For six years, I was a university teaching assistant specializing in history and Italian. Having worked with students from high achievers to those in preparatory school and even students with high functioning autism, I can help in English, Latin, history, essay writing, and standardized test preparation. I've helped many people prepare for tests like the PSAT, SAT, GRE, and ACT and prepare successful university applications. Private tutoring greatly benefited me and I hope to do the same for my students. There is a lot of stress on today's kids, regardless of what school they go to.Now at the University of California - Berkeley as a PhD Candidate in History, I'm also completing my dissertation on the British Empire in India in the late 18th century. Originally from New York City, I went to a private school with high expectations for its students. This further strengthened my understanding of the pressures students experience. My goal is to continue working in education because of my passions to teach and learn in class, at home, or even at international conferences. I also cook, knit, dance, and play jazz trombone.
