I am a graduate of Long Island University's Brooklyn campus, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology. I'm an aspiring nurse midwife, and at present I am enrolled at Remington College School of Nursing, where I'm working on my BSN. I have experience with tutoring students of all ages in subjects including algebra, trigonometry, geometry, anatomy, biology, chemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, French, and Spanish. Though I'm able to tutor a wide variety of subjects, I am most enthusiastic about tutoring students in math. I enjoy learning about my students' learning styles, personal challenges, and academic goals in order to create an individualized tutoring plan. I love breaking down seemingly complex topics into easy-to-understand steps, and I am compassionate when it comes to the emotions academic struggles bring up. As a tutor, I am empathetic, patient, and kind. I am passionate about education, but I also want my students to have a good time while increasing their proficiency in challenging topics. My aim is to build confidence and critical thinking skills as we work toward achieving students' academic goals! When I'm not tutoring, I like traveling, reading, taking in a good movie, and collecting all sorts of dolls.
