Hello! I graduated from Yale University in 2004 with a BA cum laude in Comparative Literature (Russian and Latin American literature). I also have a PhD from Harvard University in Comparative Literature (2010).
Experience
I've been a tutor at the NYC aesthetic center "Idea" for more than fifteen years, and also did some private tutoring in literature and composition online for 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students. I'd love to be a tutor because I've always enjoyed helping people reach their true potential and learn how to express themselves. I love helping people understand that looking for textual clues and writing about literature can be fun and enjoyable! Because of my extensive experience working with children at "Idea" (15+ years), I can reach children of any age (6-18) with my creative teaching ideas and games. I have 5 scores of 5 on my AP Subject Exams. I also have a lot of experience teaching adults at Harvard, Stanford, and UC Davis. Needless to say, my PhD in Comparative Literature prepares me for teaching English, Literature, Writing, and other subjects. I'm also a published poet.
