I have been an inner city school teacher for 6 years. I have taught as low as Kindergarten to as high as 9th grade. I have taught 4th grade for four years before moving up to middle school. Currently I teach at Uncommon Schools. I teach 8th Grade Living Environment and serve as the grade team leader. In my first year teaching the curriculum all 8th graders (19 students) passed the June 2015 Exam (100% passing rate). Two students earned honors scores (90% or higher). In my second year of teaching the curriculum all 8th graders (59 students) passed the June 2016 Exam (100% passing rate). Seven students earned honors scores (90% or higher). In my role I have the opportunity to coach other developing teachers, and provide feedback to colleagues in developing positive classroom culture.
