CUNY Brooklyn College - graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in biology. I am currently working towards a Master's in biology with a specific concentration in Microbiology and Cell/Molecular Biology; current GPA of 4.0. As an undegradute, I minored in psychology and studied cognition, learning, and memory.

Experience

In my two years of tutoring college Chemistry, Biology and Physics, I have assisted students, who were averaging C's across science classes, form learning and studying methods that helped them really understand concepts and score A's on their exams and overall courses. I customize my lessons and develop teaching plans for each student based on their individual needs. I will meet with students one-on-one to review class material, clarify specific learning problems, and assist in developing strong study skills as well as problem solving techniques. During the tutoring sessions, I also coach students on how to improve their overall academic achievement in the future.

Hobbies

I believe patience is key when teaching students, especially younger high school and middle school children. I am very patient and carefully analyze my students' way of processing information and their progress throughout our lessons. I then work around that to give my students everything they need to fully understand the material and prepare for exams. My future career plans are to attend medical school. Some of my hobbies include drawing, running, and working on puzzles.
