Experience
I have tutored college undergraduate students and high school students for more than five years through the University of Redlands' in Chemistry, Biology, Math, and Physics and post-grad in Seattle. I also have experience tutoring high school chemistry and biology, and general study skills, and have helped many students earn A's. My past students are all so pleased that many have offered to provide personal recommendations in addition to the ones on the site if you would like. I have experience with internships at Los Alamos National Laboratory in Bioscience working on genome science. I worked there for two summers during undergrad and did a post-bachelor's internship. My research there received an award for the best research completed by an intern in 2010. After completing my internships I moved to Seattle to work as a biologist in a cancer research lab at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. There I studied abnormal microRNA levels and their contribution to cancer progression. This work was presented to the American Association for Cancer Research where it received an award for best poster and was submitted to be published at the end of February.
