University of Chicago - Bachelors, Anthropology and Visual Art , Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien - Masters, Critical Studies (Fulbright Fellowship)
I'm a tutor who is currently based out of New York City, where I enjoy making art, dancing, and playing basketball when I'm not in the classroom. I have my bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in visual arts and anthropology. I also was a 2014-2015 Fulbright Fellow, where I participated in the masters in critical studies program at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria. As a tutor, I can help students in a variety of subject areas. Some of the subjects I've worked with students before on include English, anthropology, English as a second language, photography, and more. I'm a multimedia artist who likes to work with audio, documentary, performance, and media. I have experience working with both middle and high school-aged students in a variety of areas. Through my experiences as a student, artist, and tutor, I've developed a set of skills that allow me to get the most out of my tutoring sessions with students. I understand that each student learns differently, and so I approach each tutoring session with an individualized plan of attack developed according to that particular student's needs. I'm particularly passionate about working with students on their writing, as I believe writing is a critically important skill everyone should spend time developing.
