I am a high school English teacher in Queens. I have spent the last three years in the classroom, teaching and inspiring students to be at their absolute best. My students can vouch for my patience, positivity, and enthusiasm for the subject. I tutored a boy privately for nine months and helped to raise him from the sixth grade level in both math and English to the eighth grade level where he was supposed to be. Though he had some learning difficulties, I was able to adapt what I knew to what would work best for him. I also have taught both English 110 and English 120 at Pace University. These are both writing and literature courses. I created the syllabi based on departmental guidelines, including choosing the texts we would use, creating and then grading all assignments. One student said in her anonymous evaluation that I taught her to write for college. I am a passionate, committed teacher who is able to adapt her style to any student. I will work with the student in discovering how he or she learns so that we can be efficient and successful. I am patient and I believe in every student's capacity to succeed.
