I graduated from Brooklyn College with a bachelor's degree in Physics and a minor in math, and I have a strong tutoring background. Physics is my favorite subject, but I tutor algebra, geometry, chemistry, calculus, trigonometry, and astronomy, among others. I also assist high school students in SAT and ACT preparation for math and science. I began tutoring physics and calculus in college and found that it provided me with fulfilment, so I continued tutoring after I graduated. I started tutoring undergraduates and then began tutoring high school students as they prepared to apply to college. I have tutored younger students as well. When I take on a new student, I determine where they struggle the most and develop a plan tailored to that student. I make sure the student works through many different types of problems to develop a strong problem-solving ability, which is crucial in math. Once they develop that ability, they also gain confidence, which is important in continuing to move on in the subjects of math and science as concepts build upon concepts, but it also helps in other areas of life. In addition to tutoring, I'm a musician; I enjoy hiking and camping; and I'm married with daughters.
