I attended Vassar College, where I earned my bachelor of arts degree in Piano Performance and Music. In addition, I completed extensive studies in math subjects, and am proficient in math subjects from elementary math, to algebra, to higher level classes like linear algebra and differential equations. I have experience tutoring students in music theory, and am especially intrigued by the way math and music join together. I have found that I am a patient tutor, and because each student is unique, I have developed methods for ascertaining the way each student learns best, and adapting my tutoring style to match. This gives the student confidence, because they are more likely to succeed when they understand what they are being taught. I have a lot of energy as a tutor, and as a student, and this tends to inspire the same enthusiasm in my students. In addition to music and math, I am well qualified to tutor students in Spanish. I can actually tutor in a wide variety of subjects, including reading, writing, any type of math or music class, and social studies, among others. I am also available to help students prepare for standardized exams like the ACT, SAT, and others.
