Experience

I graduated college recently and while I pursue a career in the publishing industry, I am also pursuing being a tutor. I want to help students gain the love of learning that I have felt since I was a child. I have always been great at language, literature, and math. I was a good student and test-taker. I want to provide students with tips for good study habits, which are what led me to success academically. Learning is a challenge, but it can also be exciting and fun. I want to guide the students I tutor to that conclusion. I tutor a variety of subjects, including algebra 1 and 2, geometry, pre-calculus, literature, writing, and English grammar and syntax. Because of my passion for helping others develop effective study habits, I enjoying tutoring students in preparation for important tests, including SAT math, SAT writing and language, SAT reading, SSAT-middle level, SSAT-upper level, and ISEE. I feel that tutoring is how I can play my part in the world where I have been given so much by the mentors, fellow students, and teachers who have helped me achieve my goals. When I'm not working, I spend time enjoying New York City, reading, blogging, and ballroom dancing.
