Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and have loved studying math my whole life. I also have experience from a young age teaching people. When I was at high school, I had a volunteer job as a guide for the American Museum of Natural History, where I taught visitors about the dioramas from history that were on view, and also demonstrating concepts such as buoyancy. I also worked as a "student caller" at a Rensselaer fundraising event, during which I answered questions, and had a good opportunity to learn how to talk to people, finding out how they think and what interests they have. When I attended college, I continually tutored my friends and fellow students in math subjects, and also in computer science and physics. I feel a great fulfillment when I was able to guide students through a problem, as they discovered the answer and felt the pride of accomplishment. I know that each student is unique, and I get to know them so that I can discover the most effect method of working with them. Some of my hobbies include running, reading, and playing the piano.
