I'm a tutor who is based in New York City, New York. I have my bachelor's degree in English from the Virginia Commonwealth University. When I'm not in the classroom I really enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, and exploring the new foods and culture that New York City offers. My tutoring philosophy centers around the idea that since there isn't just one way that students learn, there shouldn't be just one way that teachers teach. That's why I pride myself on being able to work with students to figure out how they best learn and then adapt my tutoring style to fit those needs. I want the students that I work with to feel confident about expressing their unique viewpoints inside and out of the classroom. I currently focus most of my tutoring efforts on assisting students with their reading comprehension and writing skills. I also help students write and edit drafts of their essays and can help them work on their homework in a wide range of subjects. I'm extremely passionate about helping students finally break through with a subject that they've been struggling with. I hope I can use the skills that I've spent my life developing to help you get the most out of your educational experience.
