Experience

I love tutoring because it is a way to connect with others by sharing knowledge of topics that excite and inspire me. I have tutored middle school and high school students in math and science. My approach is always to adjust my explanation of concepts based on student feedback. If a student is still confused after my first explanation, I try to use analogies, diagrams, and real-world applications to set up different opportunities for my student to absorb the information. My tutoring is focused on math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus), biology, and chemistry. I received a score of 800 on the SAT Math section and a score of 790 on the SAT Math Level II Subject Test. I also received a score of 5 on the AP chemistry exam. My Masters degree in biomedical sciences has provided me the knowledge to tutor in high school and college biology.
