I graduated from the Tisch School of Arts at New York University with a bachelor's degree in drama, as well as a minor in mental health studies with a focus on children and adolescents. Throughout my time as a student, I have the privilege of tutoring a number of eager pupils in reading, writing, history, and language arts. As a tutor, I learned that one of my biggest passions is being able to help students reach all of their academic goals and excel in the classroom, regardless of the subject. As someone whose background is in writing and literature, creative writing and language arts are two of my favorite fields to teach. I love taking a hands-on approach that allows me to work with students on a one-on-one basis, so that I'm able to get to know my students' personalities and design lessons based on what they like and dislike. I believe that the best way to reach a student is to take a personalized approach to lesson planning that considers the strengths and weaknesses of the individual so that you're able to construct lessons in a way that builds upon their already existing skill set while helping them overcome their current challenges.
