Experience
I attended Williams College, a liberal arts college, where I earned a BA in History with a minor in International and Africana Studies. I received a certificate from the Language Department and a research fellowship in Guatemala. I was employed at the American Civil Liberties Union as a legal intern, and I also worked as a tech consultant and TA on campus. My interest in tutoring stems from not only a desire to help others reach their academic success, but as someone who utilized tutors during their own academic journey. I know first-hand how discouraging and frustrating it can feel when you are unable to grasp a concept or understand an issue in one or more of your courses. I would like to work with you or your child and help you work through those feelings in classes such as Algebra 1, Conversational Spanish, Geometry, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Spanish, Writing, Essay Editing, English Grammar and Syntax, College Essays, American History, SAT Writing and Language, Arithmetic, Geography, Pre-Algebra, Spanish 2, Spanish 1, Math, English, Social Studies, SAT, test prep, Languages, African-American History, Latin America History, US History, homework support, Literature, High School Level American History, College Level American History, High School English, or College English. Outside of the classroom, I unwind by exercising, reading, keeping up with current events, and watching Jeopardy!
