I hold a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and another bachelor's degree in Chemistry, both completed at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Other subjects that have been a focus for me include Math, Science, and Writing. I have always tutored in some capacity, beginning with academic help for younger students in school. Most recently, I tutored impoverished youth in South Africa's Port Elizabeth. As part of a larger non-profit organization, my fellow students and I tutored the children in a variety of subjects, including Math, Geography, and English as a Second Language. It was an eye-opening experience and only served to deepen my commitment to teaching and tutoring.The subjects I am best able to tutor are Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Chemistry, Physics, Writing, Grammar, Environmental Science, Geography, Public Speaking, English, and Social Studies. I am also able to teach a range of AP courses, including Calculus AB and BC, Chemistry, Music Theory, and Human Geography. I can also help students prepare for the SAT.My interests include playing music, surfing, and taking acting classes.
