Every student learns at a different pace and with different abilities, and I approach my teaching with a goal to find unique methods of helping my students fully understand a subject. I want to make every tutoring session informative, productive, and fun at the same time. I work hard to build a trusting relationship with my students and encourage them to always feel comfortable bringing me questions or concerns, and I take the time to work through those concerns. I graduated from the University of Rochester with a bachelor's in brain and cognitive science and I am a firm believer in the critical role of education in our lives. In high school, I taught elementary school students through the READ program. During my college years I assisted Turkish students in their homework projects. I always made sure to thoroughly explain all subject matter and that reinforced my career goal as an occupational therapist. I enjoy motivating individuals and seeing the rewards of their progress toward success. Away from class I enjoy exploring the city, visiting new restaurants, playing badminton and soccer, and working in arts and crafts.
