Experience
I graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a BA in Political Science and English and Minor in Africana and Latina Studies. I earned an MS.Ed in Education Management from The College of Saint Rose. After working for several years, as a teacher, I am changing careers to Education Consultant because I enjoy working with people and using practical applications of background knowledge, language, and communication to help others gain mastery of a subject. I am very passionate about education and the role that mental stimulation and language play in the learning process. Since high school, I have tutored elementary through college-level students in a variety of subjects such as reading, writing, and history. As a tutor, I work with my students to identify and utilize study techniques that is best suited to their learning style. I have the ability to break down complex information into understandable segments for my students. My ultimate goal is to fully engage my students into developing a love and appreciation for learning. I wholeheartedly encourage feedback and the opportunity to learn from my students as well to ensure that they fully understand the content. Learning is a life-long process, but it is more meaningful when it can be fully utilized!
