Experience
I am interested in one-on-one tutoring in the areas of math, geography, social studies, and writing at the middle/junior high school level. My ability to tutor mathematics and geography can range to freshman/sophomore in high school as well. While I don’t have any formal training in SAT tutoring, I did have a tutor myself and am willing to research tutoring strategies. I received a 780 in math and 650 in reading (at my time it was only 2 part). I received a 780 on my Writing Sat II. I have also mentored younger relatives with schoolwork, career and life advice through the years, so I feel my ability to communicate and connect with younger generations is quite strong. I traveled extensively through developing regions of Latin America, West Africa, India and Southeast Asia between 2008 and 2012 documenting and working with traditional artisans, and thus acquired excellent communication skills with all walks of life. I self-funded these trips as a design consultant for Ralph Lauren through the years. I have recently launched a start-up clothing company and work on it full time. My interest in tutoring stems from the desire to connect with different age groups/youth, use my brain in a different way, and also have a work schedule that aligns with my current business.
