Experience
As a current candidate for a doctoral program, I enjoy the adventure of learning new things and broadening my horizons. I hope to earn my degree in the History of Science Program, studying the Middle Eastern and North African history of epidemics and funeral rites. I attended Reed College, where I received my bachelor's degree in Biology. I then went on to Columbia University, where I received a master's degree in Public Health. After that, I worked as an assistant doing research in a lab for genetics/immunology, worked for the NYC Health Department, and joined the AmeriCorps. After gaining some valuable experience in each of these ventures, I attended Princeton University for my graduate degree. My tutoring style includes adjusting my teaching style to the unique learning needs of each of my students. I know that students need skills that are core to successful learning and confidence in the classroom, however, I always try to keep my tutoring fun and interesting.
