For the past seven years, I have been employed by the New York City public school system as a teacher's assistant. I have worked with teenagers who have a variety of different skills. I truly believe that literacy and effective writing are two of the most important skills people need to succeed in life. Not only do these skills help students do well in their academics, but they also can help students when they are entering the job force.As for my teaching style, I push my students to connect with their inner creativity. I also am committed to helping them communicate verbally and in written form. I believe that one of the best ways to express what you're feeling is to simply write it down. I want my students to feel comfortable with me. I want them to share their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without feeling as if they're being judged. I have always had a passion for literature, history, and writing, and I am excited about tutoring in these subjects. I hope that the passion instilled within me rubs off on my students. I want them all to achieve their fullest potential and achieve their dreams and goals.
