I have experience tutoring middle school and college students. As member of the Syracuse University Literacy Corps, I tutored middle school students. As a teaching assistant at The University of Alabama, I taught the Mechanics of Materials Lab course and also some portion of the Statics course. I worked part-time as a engineering tutor for the athletic department. Initially I wanted to be an engineer but later found my love for medicine. I enrolled into Columbia University's Postbac Premed Program and completed coursework in chemistry, organic chemistry and biology with a GPA of 3.77. I achieved 93rd percentile on the Biological Section of the new MCAT.

Hobbies

For me, science has always been a fascinating subject. My love for helping others and subjects such as biology, chemistry and physics allowed me to apply to medical school. I have extensive exposure to different math classes, I can teach the math lessons using real life problems from engineering and science. I initially struggled with math as a student and I feel I can help the students who are also feeling lost. My goal is to break down each concept by teaching it through layman terms without alienating the student.
