Victoria S.

Private tutor in Brooklyn, NY

Education

Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Spanish Language & Literature, Stony Brook University, 2014.

Experience

Work in Brooklyn, live on Long Island so I'm available in both locations After growing up speaking Spanish, learning English at 5 years old, then never really speaking Spanish again until high school, I knew I had to re-teach some of the Spanish I had lost. I studied Spanish all throughout high school as well as majored in Spanish in college. I studied abroad in Spain for a summer and have finally polished it off. You can say I tutored myself in Spanish :) My other tutoring/teaching experience includes tutoring in the Athletics department of my college where I had to make sure student athletes were grasping the material at hand. I tutored in Sociology and Spanish. For one semester, I interned at Stony Brook Child Care Services where I created and facilitated lessons to foster sensory, motor, and early-literacy development in toddlers. 2 years experience tutoring in Athletics department at Stony Brook University 2 years experience working in partnership with NYC Department of Education Experience working with early childhood.
