I have a MS'ed from Hunter College in Childhood General Education and Special Education as well as a BFA in Theatre Arts from Stephens College in Columbia, MO.
Experience
I have been a special education teacher for 11 years. I worked for the NYC public schools for 7 years as a 4th grade teacher and have been a 9th/10th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher at a private school for students with special needs for the past 4 years. I specialize in Orton-Gillingham based phonics instruction for students who struggle with decoding. I would love to help you and your child with phonics instruction, reading comprehension skills, writing both narrative and expository essays and elementary math.
