I have a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Columbia University. I am studying molecular and cellular biology at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, while pursuing a Ph.D. My love for teaching has come from the great teachers that I have experienced all through my schooling. If educators will stretch themselves to think outside the box and find new and innovative ways to bring different ideas to their pupils, it can make learning a great experience. Using the general known effective methods in the school rooms are the safe way to impart knowledge to the student, but a different path to reach the students is to use the one-to-one method. It has a greater chance for students to fulfill their learning ability, not just to sit through their lessons. Their scholastic success is dependent on their ability to engage, and the understanding of their material, not the final result of their random testing.I live in Brooklyn, and I'm available to tutor many math and science courses, including algebra, calculus, differential equations, trigonometry, geometry, biology, chemistry, and biochemistry.
