Experience
I have a very strong background working with students that I feel would be an asset in this job. While in graduate school for my master’s and doctoral degrees in United States History, I worked as a teaching and research assistant for a number of professors. In addition to teaching courses, in the four years I was employed at Rutgers and Northeastern, I worked with a variety of students in many different capacities. Whether assisting them in fulfilling research requests, or working together to improve their writing skills, I had to determine unique ways to help diverse individuals. I worked individually with freshman students from the athletic department at Rutgers to improve their test scores and provide them with the study and writing skills necessary to succeed at a college level. I am passionate about education and I believe that every student can succeed if given the right support and study tools.
