Education

I have a Bachelor's Degree from American University in Political Science with a Minor in Communications. I graduated cum laude in 2011. My minor in particular has helped to make me a strong writer and a good editor. I also recently obtained a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from New York University.

Experience

Having done child care for many years, part of my responsibility as been to help children with their homework--especially in math, reading, and basic social studies. Tutoring is a way for me to help the next generation of children excel in school, by not only providing them with basic tutoring help but by providing them with some of the guidance that helped me succeed in school.

Hobbies

In my spare time I like to read--anything from classic literature to modern fiction to non-fiction. When my nose isn't behind a book I can be found writing and wandering the City taking photographs. Having originally grown-up in Colorado I enjoy spending time outside and celebrating the great outdoors. I hope to stay in New York City over the next few years to work full-time as an urban planner in order to revitalize disadvantaged neighborhoods.
