I will help you improve grades and standardized test scores. I have one year and over 500 hours of experience tutoring. I specialize in tutoring current high school and college students in SAT and ACT prep, chemistry, algebra, geometry, calculus, precalculus, and trigonometry. I will work with you to help improve understanding and results. I guarantee improvement in grades and test scores. I have experience working in both chemistry and Earth science research facilities and have significant training and coursework in both areas. I have a bachelors degree in chemistry from Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN. I am currently in the process of applying to PhD programs in Geochemistry. I have tutored several students to their goal scores in both the SAT and ACT, and scored in the 99th percentile on both exams. As a student I have taken chemistry through the Advanced Inorganic level and spent many hours helping others with their math and chemistry homework. I also have completed college coursework in Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra with A grades. I am a patient, hardworking person who cares deeply about scientific education. As a tutor, I work to create individualized lesson plans for each student. Every student has different individual strengths and weaknesses and understanding and I work to understand your strengths strength’s and use them to help you succeed. I seek to make sure every student gets exactly what they are looking for in each individual lesson, whether that be homework help, test review, or extra lessons. My assignments are also created to help you improve in areas where you need the most help. I am available to work year-round and am very flexible with regards to hourly rate and scheduling.
