I am currently in my senior year at Stony Brook University, and I will be earning my bachelor's degree in pharmacology and enrolling in dental school the following year. As for my tutoring background, I worked for an area tutorial during my tenure at Brooklyn Technical High School. Following my completion of the Specialized High School Exam (SHSAT), I took the opportunity to teach the math section of the SHSAT to other students. For many years, I drew a great deal of satisfaction and fulfillment, seeing so many of my students get into the school of their choice.After high school graduation, I enrolled in Stony Brook University and served as a teaching assistant for honors chemistry. As a teaching assistant and as a student, I've cultivated the skills and practical knowledge needed to succeed. I'm adept at teaching math, algebra, organic chemistry, chemistry, science, and biology. I can also help students who need help with test preparation, specifically with SAT math, SAT subject tests, and PSAT mathematics.My teaching philosophy follows the conceptual style of learning. I believe learning concepts is more effective than memorization. Conceptual learning has proven to be fulfilling and rewarding time and time again, especially for lifelong skills. Outside of studying and tutoring, I enjoy listening to music, working out, watching movies, trying new dishes, and reading.
