Experience

Extensive AP preparation in high school starting in 8th grade with psychology courses at UCLA summer sessions. Passed AP US History, AP Psychology, AP European History, AP English. I worked at UC Berkeley developing successful elementary school curriculums in science and literacy education for grades 2-5. This included teachers guide material and strategy in the classroom, proper assessment, scaffolding, modeling, and hands-on activities. I wrote a children's book about a PhD candidate studying nanoparticles and communicating chemistry with the scientific community for a 4th-5th grade audience that was published as part of the curriculum. Worked briefly at MEK Review in New Jersey, preparing K-8 students for the annual state exams, and with extra writing and help in English. I want to be a tutor to spread a love of learning that I've always had throughout my life; I've had great teachers who kept me motivated and helped me when I had difficult questions. I'd love to inspire others through my passion for English, books, writing, and education.
