I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching math and science. I am currently attending Columbia University and working towards a bachelor's degree in environmental science with an emphasis in sustainable development. I began tutoring when I was in high school. I helped students prepare for standardized tests. I am comfortable tutoring a variety of different subjects, including algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, writing, essay editing, literature, writing, arithmetic, United States history, environmental science, public speaking, English, ecology, and social studies. I am able to tutor students at an elementary school level, a middle school level, and the high school level. I understand the pressure that comes with succeeding in academics. Thus, I try to stay positive and make my tutoring sessions as relaxing as possible. Though I want my tutoring sessions to be relaxed, they also need to be productive. I also want to create an environment where my students are comfortable with asking questions and telling me about the areas they struggle with. I am adept at helping students with the small details that help improve their grades and test scores. In my free time, I like to explore the New York City arts scene, hike, and roller blade.
