As an instructor, I have witnessed how students can struggle to learn when a classroom is congested. The struggle to learn can even occur in small-sized classrooms. I have seen this happen to both special and general education students. On the other hand, I have witnessed students improve and grow when given one-on-one attention, and additional time to grasp concepts that were difficult.To be able to give students the time and attention they need to learn is why I chose to tutor students in my free time. As an instructor, I am not always able to give extra attention to those students who need it the most. Tutoring allows me to spend quality time explaining a concept. It also allows me to use different methods to better communicate important ideas. My interests include dancing, basketball, playing softball, volleyball, the arts, visiting museums, going to the movies, attending plays, shopping, drawing, and pop culture.
