Experience
I am an English educator with experience teaching students from all walks of life. I have taught small groups, as well as developed learning plans for individuals based on their specific needs. I recently returned from a year abroad, teaching students in Israel. I taught at an elementary school where the students did not have access to a lot of the same resources as more privileged individuals. My work primarily involved teaching competency in the English language. In order to make class fun and more hands on, I took a creative approach to teaching. I had my students produce a twenty minute long play, and we often had many fun writing assignments. I also assisted my students in preparing for standardized testing. During my time in Israel, I attended many lectures and training activities, which taught me a lot about dealing with students with many different circumstances. Prior to working in Israel, I was employed as a private tutor and volunteered with a tutoring program for disadvantaged students. I believe that through hard work and determination, everyone has the potential to achieve their dreams and find success. It is my goal to develop a plan for my students based on their individual needs and help them earn the best grades possible.
