Private tutor in Brooklyn, NY
Saint Johns University - BA, Psychology , Saint Johns University - MA, Experimental Psychology
I'm a tutor based in Jamaica, New York, who graduated from St. John's University. I have a bachelor's in Psychology and a master's in Experimental Psychology. (I also minored in English.) In addition to mentoring students, I'm also a Paralegal.I have experience in tutoring children ranging from preschool to elementary levels. Here's a list of the subjects I teach: Psychology, Social Sciences, Languages, Legal Research, Law, English, Writing, Russian, Reading, Social Studies, and Government. As a tutor, I learned to facilitate subjects for my students by creating them to fit their personal needs. Everyone has a unique way of learning and needs to find what works best for them.Though I like to tutor many subjects, my favorite one is Psychology. Psychology interests me so much because it tries to answer how and why human beings behave the way they do, and the subject is constantly changing.I'm a huge advocate for taking learning one step at a time rather than rushing everything. After all, the tortoise in a certain popular Aesop's fable didn't win the race by flying through it. He took it slowly and steadily, and that is how all learning should be done. When I'm not teaching or working with law and Psychology, I like to read, travel, and do yoga.
