Hello. I'm fluent in Russian. I have 2 College degrees. One is BA in Journalism and Communications at Long Island University, New York, NY, USA. I graduated in May 2014 The other one is Bachelor of Education in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instructor at Tomsk State University, Russia. I graduated in June 2010.
Experience
I have a solid teaching experience (as a teacher of ELS) back to couple years ago when I lived in Russia and worked at education Center "Europe" (in Tomsk, Russia from Sept.2010 to Oct.2011). - Taught English to a broad demographic ranging from children to older adults. - Created assignments and tests to evaluate English proficiency among students. - Developed weekly lesson plans using PowerPoint presentations. - Translated center's business correspondence from Russian to English. In USA, while pursuing my second degree in Journalism, in summer I worked as a Student Advisor at Long Island University, Brooklyn, NY (from May 2013 to September 2013), where I: -Welcomed and checked-in new students, assisted with academic advising and registration for classes. - Developed and conducted ice-breakers - Conducted meetings with new students and speak in front of groups, lead a group of 20-30 new students at orientation, contribute creativity to the design and personality of orientation days. - Counseled and managed students, coordinated their activities, guided campus tours. - Facilitated the administrative duties of all orientations, including: phone calls answering, photocopying, assembling mailings and social network management.
