The first is it's flexibility to my schedule. I'm a working freelance artist looking to supplement my income through doing something I enjoy. The second is that I find tutoring to be fun. When I was a teaching assistant in college, I gave lectures and hosted smaller private sessions to supplement lesson plans by the professor. One day I hope to pursue my Master's degree and the experiences gained while tutoring will help further my goals. More important than my goals, I hope to make sure those that I tutor get valuable information and retain it in their upcoming exams, homework, etc. Learning good techniques to retain information you learn is key to succeeding later in life. If those I teach succeed, I feel quite successful as well.
