Education

Senior Industrial Design Major at Pratt Institute. Achieved Deans list status each semester of attendance.

Experience

I am working towards a bachelor’s of industrial design degree from the Pratt Institute. My artistic inkling began at a young age, with the encouragement of my parents. From there I would continue to foster a passion for the arts. I tend to work laterally, never sticking with one material or process for long. In high school I was introduced to formalized fine arts techniques and practices. Such education gained myself acceptance to the Pratt Institute. Since then, I have continued to tutor independently and have guided many students through their portfolio preparation process for college acceptance. I provide not just tips and tricks to build a portfolio, but also share the comprehensive skills and knowledge necessary to craft stunning art.

Hobbies

I love guiding high school students through the college art portfolio preparation process. To step in and be able to help young, eager minds achieve excellence is its own reward. I customize and adapt my portfolio development to meet the unique needs of each individual student. I develop a rapport with each of my students; meeting them where they are and helping them to develop beautiful, awe-inspiring portfolios. In most cases, we begin with an introduction and overall review of the portfolio work and goals. Once the students work has been reviewed, together we establish tangible goals that will be met overall and on a week-to-week basis. After-which each session leaves room for critique of the previous weeks work and potentially a lesson to complement the goals of the student. This structure is subject to change but stands as a guideline as to never overwhelm the student. My candor, kindness and enthusiasm for the subjects I guide create a positive environment in which students are able to excel and build college level artwork.
