Millersville University - BA, English, minor in Theatre. 3.5 GPA, graduated in 2012 Currently- Actors Studio Drama School- MFA, 3.9 GPA. Currently finishing my second out of three years. Specialize in reading and writing, essay editing, literature (British and American), American History, film and screen studies, theatre history, music, public speaking, creative writing, literature in pop culture, and poetry.
Experience
I started tutoring when I was in fifth grade. The program was called "Peer Tutoring". It was designed to help younger students with learning and comprehension while at the same time to help feel accepted and comfortable in their own skin. I've always wanted to help people. Before I started graduate school, I was accepted into the Americorps program, and I am now attending the Actors Studio Drama School obtaining my MFA in acting. It is important to me as a tutor to make sure that my students are not only learning and retaining the material, but also, understanding why it is important to learn. I am a very passionate person. I am patient, persistent, and relaxed. I don't get flustered easily, and I don't give up until I feel the student has fully grasped the material. I want learning to be a fun and rewarding experience for my students, and I treat each one of them with respect and kindness. I look forward to any and every challenge that gets thrown my way.
