As a tutor, I am very enthusiastic about teaching problem-solving skills. My degree is in chemistry, but I adore mathematics, and it is my favorite subject to teach my students. I've tutored in both math and chemistry throughout my university years at Delaware State, and I look forward to continuing this work while I pursue a degree in forensics science. I want to make tough subjects easier for my students to relate to. I find that students can be disengaged from a subject they find to be difficult because they don't see how it will relate to their lives or careers later. By discovering my students' interests, I can make subjects that are otherwise tough for them easier to understand because I can make them personal. I also like to find the best study method for my students, including using props or drawing pictures. When I'm not tutoring, I am an absolutely voracious reader, with my favorite books being ghost stories, horror and mystery novels, and detective or crime novels. I also very much love learning everything I can about other cultures, especially by immersing myself in other cultures' music and foods.
