B.A. Honors with High Distinction, University of Toronto, June 2015 History, Sociology, Caribbean Studies A.A., Bard College, June 2011 As a student at Bard High School Early College in New York, New York, I earned an Associate in Arts degree from Bard College concurrently with my high school diploma.
Experience
I recently completed my Honors B.A. with High Distinction at the University of Toronto, majoring in History with a focus on the Caribbean. I am interested in tutoring middle school, high school, and lower-year university/college students in English, history (especially American and Caribbean history, but I can easily familiarize myself with any area), and the social sciences more generally. I am particularly interested in helping students with their writing. More about me: I received a perfect score of 800 on the writing section of the SAT when I took it in high school; last March, I received almost $2,000 in funding from the University of Toronto to conduct archival research in Martinique; I am the author of four published papers in undergraduate research journals; I was the Managing Editor of my school's undergraduate history journal, The Future of History; and I used to tutor a high school student in English. This summer and fall, I will be applying to history graduate programs across the U.S.
