Experience
With a background in theater, I am able to make tutoring sessions a fun and interactive experience. I use my skills in drama to help engage the student and find creative ways to maintain their interest while still keeping them focused on learning. When I tutor, an approach that I like to utilize is how to use our individual skills and abilities to understand material that may be challenging or difficult. This way, the student is using the skills that they already possess in order to improve their skills in other areas. I am able to tutor students of varying ages, and have worked with middle school students on up through college, as well as mature learners. I have a graduate degree of Fine Arts from Brown University, where I was involved in a long term conservatory in Acting and Theater Arts. I also possess double bachelor's degrees in Theater Arts and Theology from Boston College. I have traveled all over the world and have lived in Sweden and the United Kingdom. I have also traveled to Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, and Canada. I enjoy going for hikes, bicycle rides, going fishing and swimming, football, soccer, and playing board games.

Anything outdoors! Hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, skiing. For sports I really enjoy football and soccer. And I LOVE board games (Settlers of Catan is my favorite).
