Hi there! I am a science tutor with a positive, patient and straightforward approach to teaching. I currently teach part-time with the Chemistry Department at Hunter College, and have extensive experience tutoring high school and undergraduate students in the sciences. Chemistry and Biology are my specialties, though I have also tutored students for the SAT, Physics, and Organic Chemistry. To share a little more of my background, I graduated with honors from Wesleyan University in 2008 with my BA in Film Studies, and then went on to complete a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical program at Hunter College. I expect to enter medical school in 2016, and until then am enjoying this chance to pass on the material I've learned to other students! Since I came to the sciences a little later in life, I learned a lot of helpful tools and tricks to make these subjects more accessible and easier to remember. I myself am a visual learner, so love to incorporate the use of drawings, diagrams, mnemonics, and other learning devices into my instruction.
