Experience

Fore the past four years, I have worked as both a teacher and a tutor, focusing on the topics of history and English. I enjoy passing along my love for both of these subjects to my students. During my career, I have always focused on writing and literature, and have written about everything from poetry to politics and agriculture to theater. In my tutoring, I try to share my love of the written word through creative language use and teaching students about our history.I have taught both AP English and AP History classes, and I also help students with LSAT prep. I enjoy teaching AP classes because I believe the stories associated with them can bring the topics alive. When tutoring for the LSAT, I like to go over test-taking methods and how they are applied. When preparing for the test, the students and I talk about how to address each question. Preparation, to me, is the key to these types of tests, especially when it comes to knowing the challenges each question poses.I graduated from Tulane University, where I studied Russian, medieval studies, and English.  When I am not teaching, I am exploring the city of New York by bicycle.
