ExperienceIn all of my life pursuits, I work as hard as I possibly can to achieve my goals. I learned from an early age that, in order to be successful in life, one must overcome obstacles and persevere. I take this attitude into the classroom whenever I am hired to help a student with their academics. I realize that learning can sometimes be challenging because, like all people, students bring certain weaknesses into class. My goal is to figure out what weaknesses my students face, and quickly begin working on them. Though the journey to self-improvement can be difficult, it is extremely fulfilling to watch my students succeed. Since high school, I have held myself to a high academic standard. I achieved 95% on all of my high school regent exams, earned the scholar athletic scholarship, and was given a spot on the chancellor's honor roll. I was also recognized as a member of the dean's list during every year of my time at Stony Brook, where I earned a B.S. in Biology. I then went on to complete medical school with honors. I have been a teaching assistant, medical school exam tutor, and personal tutor for medical school students. My hobbies include running and playing sports.
