For the past several years I have been traveling around the world teaching ESL in countries like South Korea and India. I have taught students from childhood through adulthood and at different levels of ability. I am from Oregon, but I have studied in a number of different countries, including South Africa where I studied drama, and in England where I studied Shakespeare at Oxford. At the present time, I am a student at CUNY Graduate Center working on my master's degree in Philosophy. I earned a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from the Seattle Pacific University, and I am really passionate about helping my students become skilled writers.While teaching in South Korea, I gained valuable experience assisting students in their preparation for their standardized exams. I really want to pass my love for learning onto my students. I work to provide a fun atmosphere because I believe that it promotes learning. I take the time to interact with my students so that I might provide them with tutoring sessions that align with their learning style and goals. I am currently offering tutoring in a number of courses, including ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, Literature, American History, European History, Social Sciences, English, Social Studies, and many more. Whenever I have any free time, I enjoy baseball, discussing philosophies, travel, strategy games, reading, Legos, and cooking.
